Terms and conditions

The agreement for using R10N: what the service does, how plans and credits work, who owns the emails it designs, and where our responsibility ends and yours begins.

Last updated October 14, 2026Privacy policyhello@r10n.app

1.This agreement

These terms are the agreement between you and us for your use of R10N. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you are confirming you have the authority to bind it, and "you" means that company.

The service is operated by Kracked Retention Inc, a corporation based at 3345 Thorpe Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37207, United States (“R10N”, “we”, “us”).. Our privacy policy forms part of this agreement and explains what we do with your data.

2.What R10N does, and what it does not do

R10N designs email. You give it a brand and a brief, it reads that brand's public website to build a brand kit, and it designs on-brand emails you can edit by clicking on them or by asking in chat. Three things about the scope are worth putting in the agreement rather than leaving you to discover them.

  • Your emails go out through your own platform. Connect Klaviyo, Omnisend or Mailchimp and R10N puts the finished email into that account as a template or a campaign, and schedules it when you ask. Your platform delivers it, so your list, your deliverability and your reporting stay there. The only email R10N sends itself is a test of your design, to an address you type in.
  • The emails are images, not HTML layouts. A design is rendered, sliced into rows, and every button gets a real working link laid over it. That is why it looks the same in every inbox. It also means the text in the email is not selectable or machine-readable text, and a recipient who blocks images will see the alternative text rather than the design.
  • Popups are not built yet. They are designed and planned. Do not buy R10N for popups today.

Direct sending exists today for Klaviyo, Omnisend and Mailchimp. Every other platform works by taking the images and the link map, which is one more click rather than a missing feature.

The product is under active development. We add, change and remove features. We will not remove something you rely on without telling account owners first.

3.Your account and your team

You need an account to use R10N, and your account belongs to a workspace. Keep your login details to yourself, and tell us at hello@r10n.app if you think somebody else has them. You are responsible for what happens under your login.

A workspace has members, and a member holds one of four roles: owner, admin, editor or viewer. What a role can do is enforced by the software rather than by convention. In particular, only an owner can change the plan, reach the billing portal, make another owner, or close the workspace. An invite you send expires after seven days if it is not accepted.

One person can belong to more than one workspace and switch between them. Brands, images and emails do not cross between workspaces.

R10N is for businesses. You must be at least 18 years old to have an account.

4.Acceptable use

You agree not to use R10N to do any of the following.

  • Design emails for a brand you have no right to represent, or pass off somebody else's brand, logo, photography or trade marks as yours.
  • Make claims you cannot support: false discounts, invented reviews, fake scarcity, misleading health, financial or legal claims, or anything that would breach advertising or consumer protection rules where the email will be sent.
  • Send to people who have not agreed to hear from you, or otherwise send unsolicited commercial email. What you send and who you send it to is entirely on your side of the line, and it is still your obligation.
  • Create content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or that sexualizes or targets children.
  • Point the tool at a website you have no right to have read, or use it to scrape or copy a competitor's site wholesale.
  • Attempt to break, overload, probe or circumvent the service: bypassing credit metering or rate limits, reaching another workspace's data, reverse engineering the product, or reselling access to it without our written agreement.
  • Use the service to build a competing product, or to train a machine learning model on its output.
  • Put personal data into a brief, a chat or an attachment when you have no right to share it.

We may suspend a workspace that breaks these rules. A suspended workspace keeps everything it has and simply cannot make new work, and we will tell you the reason.

5.Plans, credits and billing

What a credit is

Design work is metered in credits, because what an email costs to make varies with how much the designer has to do. One thousand credits is about one average email, and we set that number from thirteen real measured emails rather than picking it.

  • An email will never cost you more than 1,500 credits, however much it costs us to make. That ceiling is the reason you can plan a month.
  • An edit costs what the edit costs. A one word change bills like a one word change, and an edit that changes nothing is not charged. The one exception is an email made with a free email, which comes with free edits (below).
  • A design that fails costs you nothing. If a run crashes, is canceled or is abandoned, you are not charged for it, and if we charged the ceiling up front we give back the difference once the real cost is known.
  • Zero credits means stop, not overspend. There is no overage and no silent spending. When you run out, the product tells you and offers you a top up or an upgrade. It will also refuse to start an email it can see you cannot afford, and tell you both numbers. An email that turns out to cost more than you had left still finishes, so your balance can go briefly below zero; that comes out of your next credits, and you are never charged money for it.
  • Free emails pay for a design, not for credits. While we run an offer, an account can hold free emails, shown as a gift in the app. Each pays for one email design, and that email comes with three free edits. An edit uses one only if it changes the email; after those, edits to it are charged as usual. Free emails and free edits are not credits, have no cash value, and cannot be exchanged or transferred.

The plans

Plans are sold on brands, because a brand is what a customer is actually buying. These are the entitlements the software enforces.

PlanCredits each monthBrands
Studio30,0003
Agency100,000Unlimited
Managed200,0001, because it is a managed service and not a capacity tier

Managed is our own team doing the strategy, copy, design and implementation for one brand. It is not sold self-serve: talk to us at hello@r10n.app.

Current prices are on the pricing section of our homepage and on the checkout page before you pay, and they are set in our payment processor rather than written into this agreement.

How credits arrive and expire

  • Your plan's credits are granted when each invoice is paid. Monthly plans are billed monthly, and annual plans are available on some plans and are billed for the year.
  • Unused plan credits roll over for one month, and then they are gone. They do not stack up indefinitely. This applies whether or not you keep paying: if you stop paying, the credits still expire on the same schedule.
  • Credits you buy outright never expire. A top up is not a subscription. It is bought with cash and stays until you spend it.
  • Credits are not money, they cannot be exchanged for money, and they have no value outside R10N.

Payment

Payment is taken by Stripe. You enter your card details on Stripe's own pages and manage your plan in Stripe's billing portal, so your card details never reach us. Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval you chose until you cancel. Prices are exclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise at checkout.

If a payment fails we do not lock you out immediately. Your plan stays live while the payment is being retried, and it ends if the retries are exhausted.

We do not currently add sales tax or VAT at checkout, so you pay the price shown. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase where you are.

6.Canceling and refunds

You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. Canceling stops future renewals. You keep your plan and your credits until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then plan credits expire on the schedule in section 5.

You can close your workspace entirely, which deletes your work. You have to cancel your plan first, so that we cannot destroy your data and keep charging you, and you have to type the workspace name, because there is no undo. Read what deletion actually removes in the privacy policy for exactly what closing a workspace removes.

You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and then does not renew. We do not refund part periods, and credits you have bought are not refundable. R10N is sold to businesses, so consumer cooling-off rights do not apply; where the law of your country gives you a right that cannot be excluded, nothing here takes it away.

7.Your content, and who owns the emails

You own your side of it

Your brand, your logo, your photography, your copy, your product information, the briefs you write and the files you attach remain yours. Nothing in this agreement transfers them to us.

You own the emails R10N designs for you

As between you and us, the finished emails are yours. You can use, edit, export, send and publish them commercially, including after you stop being a customer, with no further payment and no attribution required.

Two honest caveats. First, an email is generated by machine learning models from your brand material, and how much copyright protection any given machine-generated design attracts is an unsettled question in most countries. We can give you our rights in the output. Neither we nor anybody else can promise you a monopoly on it. Second, the models are not exclusive to you, and a similar brief for a similar brand may produce a similar result. You are not buying uniqueness.

The license you give us

To run the service we need permission to handle your content: to store it, to display it back to you, to render it, to slice it, and to send the parts described in the privacy policy to the providers named there so the design can actually be made. That permission is limited to operating and supporting the product, lasts as long as we hold the content, and covers nothing else. We do not use your content to train models.

We will not show your work publicly, in our gallery, in case studies or in marketing, without asking you first.

Exported images stay reachable

When you export an email, its image slices are published at long unguessable web addresses so that a recipient's mail client can load them. Those files are permanent by design, because an email you have already sent would otherwise break. Anyone who has one of those addresses can fetch that image, so treat an exported email as public.

8.Your brand, your claims, your responsibility

This is the most important section for you to actually read. R10N designs at your instruction, from material you point it at. It is a tool, not an agency of record, and it does not check whether what it has designed is legal.

  • You confirm you have the right to use every brand you set up, and every logo, photograph, typeface, product image, testimonial and piece of copy that reaches R10N through your website, your uploads or your brief.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of everything in a finished email: prices, discounts, expiry dates, product availability, sizing, ingredients, terms of an offer and any claim about what a product does. A design may include text and product information taken from your own website, and a website can be out of date. Read every email before you send it.
  • You are responsible for the licensing of any typeface used in an email. We copy the fonts your brand's site uses so that your export renders correctly, which is a technical step and not a license.
  • You are responsible for compliance where the email is sent: consent and marketing rules, advertising standards, required footer information such as a postal address and an unsubscribe route, and any sector rules that apply to what you sell.
  • You are responsible for who is on your list and for the sending itself, because the sending happens on your platform and not here.

You will indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your content, your emails, your sending, or your breach of this agreement.

9.Connected platforms and exports

You can connect Klaviyo, Omnisend or Mailchimp, and when you do you authorize us to use that connection on your behalf: to push a finished email across as a template or draft campaign, to schedule a campaign if you ask us to, and to read the names of your lists, segments and audiences and, where the platform offers it, how many people each holds, and to read the totals each campaign made from an R10N email reports (reached, opened, clicked, orders and sales), so we can show you and ourselves how R10N emails perform. We store the credential encrypted, and you can disconnect at any time.

You agree we may use those results added together across all customers, for example in our own marketing, provided the figures never identify you or show your results on their own. Naming you or quoting your own results needs your permission first.

What happens on the other platform is governed by your agreement with them, not with us. We are not responsible for their availability, their pricing, their rendering of your email, what they do with the template once it is theirs, or for anything that goes wrong once your email has left R10N. If a connected platform changes or withdraws its interface, the integration may stop working.

Naming a sending platform anywhere in R10N or on our website means we can export to it. It does not mean we are partnered with, endorsed by or affiliated with it.

10.Our material

The product itself is ours: the software, the design system, the interface, the reference library the designer studies, our name and our logo. This agreement gives you the right to use the service, and nothing more. You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell or white-label it without our written agreement.

If you send us feedback or a feature request we may use it freely and with no obligation to you. We would rather you kept sending it.

11.Availability

We work hard to keep R10N up and we do not promise it will always be up. Designing an email depends on third-party model providers and on our own rendering infrastructure, and any of them can be slow, rate limited or unavailable. We may take the service down for maintenance, and we will avoid doing that in the middle of somebody's working day where we can.

There is no service level agreement, no uptime guarantee and no support response time commitment in this agreement. If you need one, talk to us.

Keep your own copies of work that matters to you. Every email can be downloaded as an image and exported, and doing that after you finish something is the cheapest insurance available.

12.Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided as it is and as it is available. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free, that a design will be fit for a particular campaign, that it will perform commercially, that it will render identically in every mail client despite our best efforts, or that anything it produces is accurate, lawful or compliant. We exclude all implied warranties, terms and conditions to the extent we are permitted to.

The designer is a machine learning system. It can be wrong, it can misread a website, and it can invent a detail. That is exactly why section 8 asks you to read every email before you send it.

Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

13.Limitation of liability

Subject to the paragraph above, and to the fullest extent the law allows:

  • we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of goodwill, loss of anticipated savings, loss of or corruption of data, business interruption, or any indirect or consequential loss, however it arises; and
  • our total liability to you for all claims in any twelve month period is limited to the total amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

In particular, we are not liable for the content of an email you sent, for the consequences of sending it, or for anything that happened on a platform other than ours.

14.Suspension and termination

You can stop using R10N whenever you like: cancel your plan, or close your workspace, both from inside the app.

We may suspend or end your access if you break this agreement, if your payment fails and is not resolved, if we are required to by law, or if your use puts the service or other customers at risk. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right. A suspension is deliberately narrow: you keep everything you have made and you simply cannot make anything new until it is lifted, and we will tell you why.

On termination your right to use the service stops. Export anything you want to keep before you close a workspace, because closing it deletes your work and there is no undo. Sections on your responsibility, our material, disclaimers, liability and governing law survive.

15.Governing law and disputes

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States. Any dispute will be decided by the state or federal courts located in Davidson County, Tennessee, and both of us agree to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep any protection the law where you live gives you.

Before starting a formal dispute, please write to hello@r10n.app. Most things are a misunderstanding and can be fixed in an afternoon.

16.Changes to these terms

We may change these terms as the product changes. When we do we will update this page and the date at the top of it, and for a change that materially affects you, such as a change to credits, plans or liability, we will tell account owners by email rather than expecting anybody to notice a quiet edit. If you keep using R10N after a change takes effect you accept the new terms, and if you do not want to, you can cancel.

We give account owners 30 days' notice by email before a material change takes effect, and we will send you an earlier version of these terms if you ask for it.

17.General

  • These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about R10N, and they replace anything said beforehand.
  • If any part of this agreement turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of it still applies.
  • Not enforcing something right away does not mean we have given up the right to enforce it later.
  • You may not transfer this agreement without our written consent. We may transfer it as part of a sale or reorganization of our business, and we will tell you if we do.
  • Nobody other than you and us can enforce this agreement.
  • Neither of us is liable for a failure caused by something genuinely outside our control.
